Infos bienvenues.

[EN] Gopal Beram Idama, poet, Ramataki writer

Universally acclaimed and accepted as the first among Intaki poets, Gopal Beram Idama was the first to discover a metrical expression of epic dimension and vision to match the emotional ecstasy of the story of Rama.
According to a legend, Gopal Beram Idama was a robber who one day met a hermit who transformed him to a virtuous being. Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom was believed to have assured the sage to stand by his side and guide him to visualize the events of Ramataki, and eulogize them with epic dignity and secular simplicity.

[EN] Do you speak frallente ?

Frallente is an idiom specific to the Gallente Federation. Rooted in ancient languages used in Tau Ceti, it is a varying combination of these languages. No rules are written and we still await for a comprehensive study of frallente.

Until then, this blog will help you to familiarize with this fantastic idiom, way of talking and way of life.

For example, an alternate to the worlwide "fly safe" signature would be "bon vol" in frallente.

Using frallente makes you feel more Gallente !

[EN] Pirate or Corsaire ?

New Eden is a hard place to live in, and if you are no predator, then you are a prey (or both at the same time).

But which predator are we speaking of ? Pirate, Corsaire or Flibustier ?

Discover the differences and if you are on the predator side, then feel free to proudly claim one of those titles as yours.

Pirate
(ancient "peiratès" "the one who seeks fortune") works for nobody but him, an outlaw sailing space, plundering, raping and often killing without distinction of faction.

Corsair or Corsaire in frallente
("privateer") acts on behalf of a factionnal leader (king, CEO, Emperor, alliance leader...) ; he owns a lettre de marque (a letter of mark) which allows him to attack the ennemies of the faction. He is more like a mercenary patriot. Should he be captured, he won't be hang like a simple pirate but rather treated like a prisoner of war.

Freebooter or Flibustier in frallente
(ancient "vrijbuiter") is a gallente corsair fighting against the Caldari during the war.

Whatever, being a pirate or a corsair does not mean you must be rude. Salute your future victim with a classical "Bonjour Monsieur (or Madame), please surrender your ship" and end it with a "Merci pour ce combat" ("thanks for this fight", or shorter "GG").

[EN] Proud of your future intaki character and looking for a name ?

Giving a name to your character is the first and most important task to do. A name is forever. The name stays with the character through the rest of his/her life. Many believe that names have a significant effect on the child's development and personality. Some people believe that speaking negative creates negative energy and speaking positive creates a positive energy around the person. Since every name has a meaning , by taking the name of a child for years it will develop their personality traits according to the meaning for that name.
Here is a list of typical intaki names for your intaki characters.
Classical intaki V families should choose among "traditionnal", or "sanskrit" categories.
Other intaki colonies families should choose among other categories ; may be should we assign categories to colonies ? Like Kashmiri name should reveal a capsuleer as being from Ostingele 7 ?Feel free to comment about that.

[FR] La planète mère

Intaki 5
(Viriette, Placid)

"Intaki V is a jewel among planets. It is tropical and filled with diverse lifeforms. We have lived and grown on this planet for time beyond measure.
I was born in the town of Asaya, sitting at the base of the Akat mountain range. These mountains mark the southern end of the habitable region of the north pole. My town was hidden from the harsh sunlight in the deep valleys that intersect the mountain range. Intaki V is a very hot world, and both polar regions were once thick with tropical forests. The equatorial oceans are exceedingly hot, and few living things survive around the equator. The rich and varied life of Intaki V has been confined to the polar regions, and in constant struggle for land, food, and shelter from the environment."

[FR] Les traits "ethniques"

source evelopedia
The Intaki male is methodical and reserved, never outspoken or confrontational. He generally enjoys quiet reflection, and Intaki homes are traditionally places of peace and tranquility. The typical Intaki has absolute control over his emotions and is able to remain calm even under the most trying circumstances.

Like their male counterparts, Intaki females are quiet and contemplative, moving through the world seemingly without making a ripple. Yet their contemplative manner often embraces great beauty through both physical and literary arts. A great number of the universe's most notable contemporary artists are of Intaki heritage, and among them a disproportionately large number are female.

[EN] To start with

This blog will be written in english [EN] and/or in french [FR], depending on the subject. Some posts should be reposted in the other language.
3 topics
  1. Intaki culture
  2. Gallente language
  3. Ramataki
Intaki culture is not vvery well known, therefore we will make you discover its unknown treasures. We shall try to translate or interpret some texts of interest, for our young intakis out of the diaspora, looking for their identities.

Gallente language will be studied within its frallente idiom, or fr-gallente. The point is to explain common forms of frallente to engallente users (or en-gallente) willing to better use frallente. Those posts should be written mostly in [EN].

And there comes the bigger part

Ramataki. Here is a true university project, started at CAS (Center for Advanced Studies).
We want to exhume the Ramayana intaki, a treasure for intaki literature, and make it available to our fellow intakis, so that they can make it theirs. We will start a series of posts to establish the steps of the project ; it should take years.

Thanks for being already there, reading this modest blog.
NK

PS : and feel free to help me with my engallente...

[FR] Pour commencer

[EN] translation will follow
